Schedule Videos for Classroom Viewing

Library-owned DVDs and other video formats may be reserved in advance for future pickup on specific dates by completing the form below. A hold will be placed for you for each video requested and will appear on your library account as “suspended” until approximately ten days prior to the date needed.

When the hold becomes active (approximately ten days prior to your scheduled date), the video will be retrieved and placed on hold for you at your requested pickup location, where it will be available for standard checkout (7 day loan for videos, with multiple renewals possible).

To ensure that videos will be available, please submit your request at least two weeks in advance of the date needed.

This form accommodates up to five videos. Please submit this form again to schedule additional videos.

Though created for use by instructors needing to schedule videos for classroom viewing on specific dates, this form may be used by anyone who wishes to schedule videos in advance for future pickup.

Alternative Options for Requesting Videos (instead of using this form):

  • Streaming Video
The Library licenses many videos, including documentaries and feature films, for streaming in Canvas. More information.
  • Unscheduled Use
If you don't need to use a video on a specific date, use the “I Want It” button instead of this form. The “I Want It” button in the Libraries Catalog is the most effective way to request DVDs and other videos for general use.
  • Course Reserves
University Libraries offers course reserves services at all campuses for instructors who wish to reserve videos for use by students enrolled in specific courses. For more information, contact your campus library.

Please feel free to contact us at musiccenter@psu.edu if you have any questions.

To find call numbers, check the Libraries Catalog.
