About the Collection
The Engineering Library has 600,000+ technical reports and technical papers on microfiche. These cover dates from approximately 1945-2008 and are mostly from the government agencies of:
- National Technical Information Service (NTIS),
- National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA),
- Department of Energy (DOE),
- Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). These cover dates from approximately 1945-2008.
Government agencies' technical reports on microfiche can only be located by visiting the Engineering Library.
Technical papers of note on microfiche include:
- Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) from 1964-2004,
- Society of Manufacturing Engineering (SME) from 1970-2014,
- International Aerospace Abstracts from 1967-1971
- and many others can be searched by title, report number, or name of sponsoring agency in the CAT
There are approximately 500,000+ technical reports and technical papers in print available at the Engineering Library and the Annexes.
Notable collections include:
- American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) from 1967-2001: Annual Congress and Winter Annual Congress
- Special Publications of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
- and many others can be searched by title, report number, or name of sponsoring agency in the CAT
