Information on how to use the library and conduct research
About
Social Sciences offers a range of collections, services and facilities to support teaching and research at Penn State. Our librarians select library materials, provide consultation services, offer both group and individualized instruction, and serve as liaisons to a variety of departments and programs, including African Studies, African American Studies, Anthropology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Criminology, Labor and Employment Relations, Public Policy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. We also provide collection and research assistance for interdisciplinary fields such as area studies, demography, ethnic studies, environmental studies, international affairs, and law, and offer support for data discovery needs. In addition, we maintain an array of government information sources from state, federal and international agencies.
