PURPOSE:

The University Libraries pride themselves on being a hub of student activity and a public service bulletin board is a logical extension of this. This policy defines the posting and maintenance guidelines for bulletin boards in Pattee and Paterno Libraries.

LOCATIONS:

  1. Knowledge Commons, Pattee Library, west, floor one (installed).
  2. Hallway leading to the main stairwell in Paterno near the copiers.
  3. Paterno, floor three, elevator lobby (installed).

STATEMENT (DISCLAIMER) TO APPEAR AS HEADING ON BULLETIN BOARDS:

NOTE: All posts will be removed on the last Friday of each month regardless of the date of the post.

Restriction: Posts larger than an 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet will be removed, and only one copy of an announcement may be posted on the bulletin board.

MAINTENANCE:

Libraries' Facilities staff will remove all posts from both boards on the last Friday of each month.

OTHER:

University Libraries will place no restrictions other than size on posts. Offensive posts may be removed without notice, but there will be no formal policy. A proper appearance of the bulletin board will be maintained at the Libraries' discretion.
