Siku Quanshu

The client is available for download via the Siku Download page. From this page, users can download the client program software (setup.exe), the Installation Guide, and the database User Manual. Please note that this client program is necessary to access the database, since there is no direct access URL that can be referenced.

Other web browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer or Firefox) will not work, since Siku Quanshu contains archaic Chinese characters not included in the current Unicode standard. Once the client program is installed, users can open the program on their PC, select IP Login, and gain access from any Penn State IP address. Please note also that at this time EZproxy access is not supported by this database, but this capability is currently being developed.

Please note that the Virtual Private Network is required for remote, off-campus access.
