Tod Serfass and Margaret Couch: Supporting Student Well-Being Through Penn State Libraries

For Tod Serfass, the library has always been more than a place to study; it is a space for reflection, discovery, and finding balance. As an industrial engineering student at Penn State, Tod spent many hours in the Pattee Library and stacks; the resources and atmosphere helped him focus and grow as a student. Those early experiences left a lasting impression on him, shaping his understanding of the vital role libraries play in supporting students’ academic and personal well-being.
