Special Collections, Robert E. Eiche Library

About

The Eiche Collection consists of an eclectic assortment of materials including books, periodicals, letters, personal papers, and ephemera such as scrapbooks, photographs, and posters. The collection spans from 1840s-1970s, with the majority of items clustered around 1930s-1950s. The materials are from the personal library of Robert E. Eiche (1903-1973), who served as Penn State Altoona’s first campus director from its founding in 1939 until 1968.
