Scan, Copy and Print

Scanners

The library has two computers equipped with 11" by 17" flatbed scanners, offering 600 x 1200 dpi resolution and 48-bit color. These computers are also equipped with Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

The library also has a KIC Click Mini overhead scanner that can handle materials up to 12.25 x 19.2 inches and scan from 100 – 300 dpi resolution.

Scans can be saved in several formats (e.g. pdf, jpeg, and png) and can be saved to USB flash drive or sent to an email account.

Paw Prints Kiosk

Cloud-based, pay-as-you-go printing and scanning in black-and-white and color is available. Visit the Penn State Paw Prints website for step-by-step instructions on printing and scanning and print rates.

Textbooks and Reserves 

Open Reserves

These books are shelved in a separate section out on the main floor in call number order. The books do not need to be checked out to use them in the library. The material may be borrowed for two hours or overnight by coming in two hours before the library closes.

Closed Reserves

Books placed on Closed Reserve are kept behind our circulation desk. Students cannot browse these shelves but they can check them out for two hours or overnight. If instructors place their own personal copies of books in the library for their students to use, books must be placed on Closed Reserve. When placing books on reserve, please indicate whether you prefer the books be placed on Open or Closed Reserve.
