How do I borrow materials?
You must have both a My Library Account and an ILLiad account to borrow materials. Please remember to keep a current address in both accounts and choose World Campus as your campus and pickup location.
What can I request?
World Campus and Distance Researchers can request materials owned by Penn State by clicking “I Want It” in the Libraries Catalog. For materials not owned by Penn State, click “Request” to order materials through E-ZBorrow or ILLiad.
How will items be delivered to me?
Books will be sent via UPS to the address in your account, but cannot be shipped outside North America. You can sign up for UPS My Choice to track UPS shipments. As of January 18, 2021, the library is covering return shipping costs and a return label will be provided in each outgoing package.
Articles are delivered to your ILLiad account and are available for 30 days.
I am unable to pick up materials at my campus due to the pandemic. Can I request materials and have them delivered to my home?
Whenever possible, we encourage our users to pick up materials at their campus library. However, we understand that you may not be able to travel to your campus due to the current situation. If you are interested in having materials mailed to you, please contact Interlibrary Loan for assistance.
How do I go about returning my items?
You can return your items at any Penn State library or by mail to the ILL department at University Park. As of January 18, 2021, the library is covering return shipping costs and a return label will be provided in each outgoing package. You are responsible for returning borrowed materials by the due date. Please wrap all items securely. Return items to the address below:
