Library resources are integrated into Canvas in three different tiers:
Tier One: Automatic Integration
Subject guides are assigned to courses within that subject area. These guides provide databases, and often include instructions for finding sources within a specific subject area. Though these guides are broad, they are often sufficient for most courses.
Tier Two: Requested Integration
If the subject guide is not sufficient or appropriate for the course, a different guide can be selected using the Request Canvas Course Guide Integration Form. Note that the specific guide and the SISID number (available in Canvas courses settings) for the course are required for the form.
Tier Three: Manual Integration
Any guide can be integrated at any part of the course, such as an assignment or module, using manual integration, as outlined in the Manual Integration Instructions.
