Book Title
Why Demography Matters
Book Description
This book calls for a study of demography that moves away from the "scary" or "spooky" future. It contextualizes demographic phenomena such as not having children, postponing or forgoing marriage, or increases in the number of older adults in a positive light. The authors build a case for a celebration of the demography of today, pushing us away from longing/ suffering the absence of the demography of the past. We must shift our focus and embrace the demography of the future, not fear or reject it.
