Book Title
Being Heumann: An Unrepentant Memoir of a Disability Rights Activist
Book Description
The disability advocacy work to which Judy Heumann dedicated her life is critical to my scholarly work. Inspired by the civil rights movement, she was a catalyst for change. I'm convinced that we in the rehabilitation field share that purpose and can learn from her resolve and will. I'm honored to have been a colleague of Judy's in the final years of her life, on the board of the U.S. International Council on Disabilities, and by default, her student and a recipient of her generosity.
