This book revealed to me that the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers hold a history so profound, it could fill volumes. It taught me to see the nomadic shepherd's life as a wise adaptation, not a relic of the past; it illuminated to me how policies aimed at maximizing production often jeopardize long-term survival. These lessons continue to shape my research today.
