Sarah E. Allen

As a paleobotanist, I study fossil plants from the Late Cretaceous and Cenozoic. This requires knowledge of modern plants, including the relationships of angiosperm clades. This book synthesizes our understanding of angiosperm relationships, while providing numerous illustrations and phylogenetic trees for additional context. In addition, this book holds personal significance because several authors played a direct role in my paleobotany and plant taxonomy education during my graduate studies.
