My research centers on the use of technology to support students' higher-order thinking processes (e.g., problem solving, argumentation, evaluation) while solving authentic problems. In this context, students need to generate suitable solutions to authentic problems and justify such with an evidence-based argument. This book helped me think in novel ways about how and why middle school students build arguments, and how to best support this process.
