Gabriel García Márquez is a fabulous story teller and I like this book because it is one of the finest examples of his open, detailed and mystical writing style.  A good example of hearsays and gossips in a community that can lead to wrongly accusing someone of a crime. The story tells us about the importance of societal interactions that are important for punishing the real culprit.
