Pattee Library's entire ground floor west will be removed and renamed the Collaboration Commons. Ample electrical outlets will encourage students to "bring your own device," while group study rooms, bar-height table seating facing campus views, open seating areas, and a flex-use multipurpose room with mobile furniture will provide a variety of configurations for groups of all sizes. The renovation will allow for the creation of a welcoming vestibule and foyer providing a large, open space connecting the Collaboration Commons with the Central Atrium and Central Pattee. A highlight of the new lobby area will be a student art zone for exhibition of student artwork.
