Scope and Contents

This collection consists primarily of the research and editorial files for the project to publish on microfilm the complete Papers of Martin Van Buren. Materials include transcripts of Van Buren's correspondence and autobiography, secondary research materials, correspondence with scholars and repositories holding Van Buren letters, indices and finding aids to other microfilmed collections, and copies of government records related to the political offices held by Van Buren.
