Visit our current hours to see when we're here. The Morrison Gallery and Lion Study Space are open 24/7.
Books can be requested using curbside pickup (contactless pickup in the library lobby). While our library stacks are closed to browsing, you may place holds on items for pickup through the Libraries Catalog.
Spaces & Technology
All floors of the Penn State Harrisburg Library are open, however, group study rooms will be used as adjunct faculty offices and will not be available for student use. Additionally, the Media Commons and One Button Studio are closed. Socially distanced quiet study spaces are available on the second and third floors, and desktop computers are available on the first floor.
The Morrison Gallery and the Lion Study Space provide 24/7 physically-distanced study spaces. Computers and printing are available in the Lion Study Space.
Users are encouraged to bring their own devices if possible, as circulating laptops are limited and availability is not guaranteed. You must bring your own headphones, as these will not circulate this semester.
Please be respectful of those around you. Limit volume/noise to maintain a studious environment for all.
Course reserves access will be limited this semester. Reserve textbooks will check out for one week, and must be quarantined for 96 hours between checkouts. It may not be realistic to rely on course reserves in place of a personal textbook copy.
The first floor reference desk will feature Zoom connection to a library reference associate during daytime hours for walk-up service.
Users are welcome to make Zoom or phone reference appointments with Penn State Harrisburg librarians. Contact your librarian via email to schedule an appointment.
Contact information is available in the Penn State Harrisburg Library Directory or email firstname.lastname@example.org. When requesting an appointment, please include the course it is related to, and a brief description of the question you have or information you need.
Information literacy instruction will be remote this semester. Faculty members should contact their librarian to discuss options and schedule a session.
All users must wear masks and maintain physical distancing. Library stacks are closed and taped off. Do not enter any stacks or remove any library materials from shelves yourself. Protective barriers have been added to service areas. Additional hand sanitizing stations and hand washing stations have been added on each floor of the library.
