Eakin House

The Eakin House is separated from the large cluster of Hajjar homes in the 500 block of Glenn Road, but was built in the same general time frame. The usual shoe box is in front, but has a garage in the lower level, which presents a rather cold shoulder to passers-by.

Nothing is known about the clients' relationships with the architect. The main entry is at the usual breezeway location, here enclosed, but connects to further living space on the back of the property.

The roof has the usual low slope and descends on from the front shoebox to the rear quarters. Also typical is the rather hidden main entry, which features a glass area of generous dimensions, even for Hajjar, rising here a full two stories.
