Awards, Scholarships, Internships, and Graduate Assistantships

Penn State University Libraries offers a number of awards, scholarships, and internship opportunities to undergraduates and assistantships for graduate students.  Our awards recognize outstanding research or scholarly work. Our scholarships are awarded based on a number of factors including merit, financial need, interest in librarianship, and your major. Our internships and graduate assistantships are paid positions that allow undergraduate and graduate students apply their disciplinary background to library-related projects.

These scholarships provide financial assistance to undergraduate students in a variety of disciplines, including liberal arts, information technology, and those with an interest in library science. Scholarships are also available for need-based students.

Internships and Graduate Assistantships

Juniors and seniors in good academic standing many apply for a variety of paid internships throughout the University Libraries. Graduate students from a variety of disciplines may apply for library-centered assistantships located at the University Park Libraries.
