Penn State University Libraries has created awards and scholarship opportunities for undergraduate students to recognize their outstanding research work and to encourage them in pursuing library and/or information science as a career.
- Information Literacy Award: to recognize scholarly work based on a foundation of careful background research and literature review
- Outstanding Undergraduate Thesis Award: to find the best thesis submitted by an undergraduate
- Phi Beta Kappa Honors Thesis Prize: thesis completed in a discipline included within Phi Beta Kappa by students in the Schreyer Scholar Honor program
These scholarships provide financial assistance to undergraduate students in a variety of disciplines, including liberal arts, information technology, and those with an interest in library science. Scholarships also available for need-based students.
Awards start at $500, dependent on financial need and availability of funds.
